Le Morne
Wingfoil Holidays
Whether you're a beginner Wingfoiler searching for tranquil waters within the lagoon or taking on the smaller waves at Little Reef, Le Morne caters to every skill level. For those seeking an exhilarating challenge, the sizable waves at Manawa and Chameau offer an exciting experience. Le Morne is an ideal spot for Wing Foilers of all levels. A large world-class Wingfoil centre is right on the main beach at the end of JW Marriott Resort, with a large stick on the newest Duotone equipment.
The wind mostly comes from the East or Southeast (from the left) and has an average speed of 12 to 20 knots in the Mauritian summer (November to March) and about 20 to 30 knots in the Mauritian winter (April to October). In the winter, the trade winds are stronger. So, although this is a year-round spot, the best time to Wingfoil is June through November, although December can also sometimes be good.
On very low tides, Wingfoiling is restricted to some regions of the lagoon, which have shorter masts.
