The property is smaller than most luxury beach resorts in Mauritius, yet with superb facilities, including a stunning central pool (plus 2 other smaller polls), outstanding Spa, cosy luxury cinema, peaceful library and reading room, fully equipped gym, tennis court, comprehensive watersport centre (The Boat House).

This luxury property is also located in one of the best kitesurf, windsurf, and wing-foiling spots in the world. Planet also offers a 'VIP prestige kitesurfing service' from the beach of this hotel with exclusive speedboat pick-up and private 1-to-1 instruction. For kitesurfing, windsurfing, and wing foiling rentals and lessons, the school is based at the end of the JW Marriott beach, a perfect location for our guests. Kitesurf lessons are taken a 20-minute walk down the beach at the 'kitesurf training lagoon (or for those using our VIP prestige service, the boat will go directly from the hotel beach).

Other activities at JW Marriott Mauritius include morning yoga classes, Spa services, Golf (nearby), aerobics classes, Horseback Riding (nearby), Tennis, and various other Outdoor Sports. The Watersports Centre is open daily, providing complimentary activities such as snorkelling, kayaking, SUP, and pedal boats. Families And Kids At Jw Marriott

This is a perfect property for a luxury family holiday. The generous-sized suites can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children or teens. We can provide guaranteed interconnecting rooms for larger families or if you would like more space.

Kite Flyers Kids Club (age 4-12) - There are many fun activities at JW Marriott Mauritius Resort kids club. Whether your child loves food, painting, or just exploring, there are special experiences for them. Activities include exploring the Lagoon (glass bottom boat), Local Dances (Sega), Petit Chef Cooking Atelier, Kids Yoga, Beach Games and sand Castle, Henna Tattoo, Treasure Hunt, Kite Flying, Star Gazing, Story Telling, Board Games & PlayStation 5.

Infants and toddlers - Younger children aged 2-3 years can also use the kids club, but with the supervision of a nanny or adult. The property can provide qualified local babysitters (for children 6 months upwards) , offering expert care for your children in the convenience of your guest room. Private babysitter fees are around just £12 per hour paid directly to the sitter. The babysitters have special interests & certificates in Teaching, Child Development, Sports and Arts & Crafts. They all have relevant previous childcare experience and qualifications, are Pediatric First Aid trained and have attended several other training courses.

The accommodation at JW Marriott is of a high level, as you would expect from one of the island's top luxury hotels. The suites are very spacious, with even the entry-level Junior Suite being a roomy 60 Sq m. All the suites can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children under 13 (one Sofa bed plus one extra bed). Exclusive to Planet Travel, we can also accommodate 2 adults and 2 teens in one room for those who do not want the expense of 2 rooms. The accommodation section of the hotels stretches out along a stunning beach up from the central hub of the resort, in a wedge shape, ending at the JW Marriott Mauritius Villa (a 4-bedroom luxury villa - that can be sold as a 2-bedroom as well).

Essentially, the suites come in 3 different categories:

Junior Suite (65 sq m) - ground or first floor, non-sea view, partial sea view or beachfront. Can be booked with guaranteed interconnecting. Twin and double room options.

Peninsula Suites (100 sq m) - Larger suites with a separate closed-off lounge area. All beachfront with first or ground-floor options

Le Morne Suites (150 sq m)- The top category suite with a separate closed-off extra-large lounge area and a huge beachfront terrace. First or ground-floor options

The Boathouse Grill & Bar - Take in stunning ocean views at The Boathouse Grill & Bar. Located on the beach, this fine seafood restaurant boasts a locally inspired menu, along with a juice bar, cocktails and island-influenced décor. Pool service is available from 11am to 6pm.

Simply India (RENOVATED 2024): - The newly designed, contemporary Simply India brings authentic Indian curries and delicacies to the forefront. Simply India serves crispy naan bread cooked in a tandoor (clay oven) to a range of dishes like butter chicken, dal makhani and biryani.

Atsuko (Japanese) - The name ‘Atsuko” is synonymous with feelings of calm, serenity and warmth. This unique restaurant presents fresh and inspired Japanese cuisine, with a live Teppanyaki station.  

Le Morne Lounge - Offering custom cocktails, decadent snacks, and live entertainment in a timeless ambience overlooking the resort's main pool.

A half-board package dinner may be taken as part of your booking at the Le Manoir, Simply India, The Boat House or Floating Market; there are supplements to pay locally for the other restaurants.
