Located infront of the White Dune bungalows, Planet are delighted to add this NEW Duotone centre in Dakhla for 2024!. At high tide the area is transformed into an island. You can directly reach the White Dune from the centre by kite or wing.

At low tide only kitesurfers are able to pass the sandbanks, riding from one pool to another. Otherwise, 4X4 departures are organized every day, to kite / foil in the sea on the other side of the dune.

Kitesurfing - the wind blows cross-shore from the right. The kitesurfing centre is located at an amazing spot on the Dakhla Lagoon. The spot offers top conditions thanks to constant wind throughout the year, flat water and plenty of space. You will experience unforgettable sessions. The centre is equipped with the latest range of DUOTONE kitesurfing equipment. Choose from EVO, NEO, DICE or REBEL kites. Stock includes Duotone boards such as the Twintips Jaime, Select, Gonzales and Soleil, as well as directional boards such as the PRO WHAM, PRO WHIP and PRO VOKE ranges. The equipment also utilises click bars. Our instructors will be happy to help you find the perfect combination of gear for the day

All Kitesurfing lessons are given by certified instructors only and are offered in several different languages. We recommend only private or semi-private lessons (max 2 students per instructor). This incredible lagoon offers dream sailing conditions for all levels of rider, with constant wind almost all year around, flat water and plenty of space.

Wing Foiling - equipped with the latest Duotone wings and boards. Whether you already know how to wingfoil and so can therefore hire equipment from us, or you would like to learn this new and unusual watersport, our centre and our instructors will be delighted to welcome you.

All Wingfoiling lessons are given by certified instructors only and are offered in several different languages. We recommend only private or semi-private lessons (max 2 students per instructor). Courses for beginners are very similar to those for beginner windsurfers. The wingfoiling students start on a large board holding a wing in their hands, rather than a boom and sail. After that the learning objectives for beginners are the same as for windsurfers, and after just a few hours you will be able to ride on your own. For the more experienced we offer courses with more challenging objectives. In semi-private lessons with 2 people per instructor, we teach you to fly safely, to jibe and even to jump.

This service will allow you to store your kitesurf equipment at the centre, and often also includes free rescue service assuming you are riding upwind level or above.

Note:

Rescue service is normally limited to 1 rescue per day assuming you are an independent kiter, able to ride up wind. Local charges may apply for extra rescues.

For Storage and rescue services, you may be required to produce a VDWS/IKO/RYA or equivalent licence to prove your ability (For Egypt this is mandatory, and if unable to provide you will need to do a skills test and pay for a licence locally)

Kitesurfing Lessons with a personal instructor gives you the opportunity to have a 2-on-1 interaction with your instructor to help you learn at a pace that is driven by you. The Learn To Kitesurf course aims to get you riding, while also teaching you how to read the conditions and utilise your equipment safely and correctly.


You will start with the basics; this includes setup of your equipment, safety features that you will utilise and how to fly a small 2metre trainer kite. When your instructor feels you are ready you can then head to the water. On day one you will only be using the kite and not go on the board just yet. Entering the water is when the fun starts! Here you will be taught how to properly fly an inflatable kitesurfing kite, how to control your kite and what to do if you crash it in the water. On day one you will be comfortable flying the kite and know what to do in any situation.

Note:

Semi-private lessons are offered with a maximum of two people and ensure fast progression. Your course includes Kite, board, Harness, wetsuit, life jacket and insurance.

We will schedule your course to start on your first full day, but you must remain available to the school to work around local wind and sea conditions, as well as instructor availability.

Semi-Private lessons are a maximum of 2 students per instructor, meaning fast progression. The lessons include all equipment and are designed to take you from total beginner to up and riding. We normally suggest at least 10 hours to get the up on the board doing short runs. Lessons are normally in 2 - 3-hour sessions, but dependent on local conditions.

We will schedule your course to start on your first full day, but you must remain available to the school to work around local wind and sea conditions, as well as instructor availability.

Private lessons are 1-1 with an instructor, meaning fast progression. The lessons include all equipment and are designed to take you to the next level with your kiting.  Lessons are normally in 2 hour sessions, but dependent on local conditions.

Daily kitesurf unlimited rental, with choice of boards and kites, bar included. The range of equipment will vary from each different kitesurf school, so sometimes the exact kite size may not be available. Kitesurf rental packages are great if you want to experiment with different types of equipment before you decide to invest in your own, or if you just don't want toe hassle of taking your own equipment. 

The quality of kitesurf rental equipment will vary from each different sport centre. Take a look at the sport centre details for more information on this. if you are not sure then you can always call us. We only work with the best kitesurf centres in each resort and do our best to visit every centre we offer.

You must be able to demonstrate safe setup and use of the equipment, and be able to ride upwind (most of the time). If the centre feels that you are not yet ready to kite independently they may swap out some of the rental value for instruction.

    • Please make a note of your ideal board size and style in the 'notes' section.
    • Rental can only be used on consecutive days.
    • In the case of no wind, most centers will allow you to use other sports equipment, such as: SUP and Surf boards.
    • Equipment insurance NOT included. Please check your travel insurance, or most centres will offer a local insurance (approx Euro 45/ week)
